Classic Chinese ballet shines at Kennedy Center

The National Ballet of China performed its award-winning “Raise the Red Lantern” with full orchestra Wednesday night, as a cornerstone event of the 2019 Lunar New Year festivities at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington.

The show, adapted from the 1991 hit movie of the same name, made its premiere in Washington in 2005. The show will be on untill Saturday.
