'Iron city' on grassland to transform itself into a hub of arts and culture

Cultural institutions from across the nation will show their tradition and products at the upcoming Baotou Art Fair, in Inner Mongolia autonomous region. [Photo provided to China Daily]

Among the participants is Rongbaozhai, a cultural brand with a history dating back over 300 years, evolving from a small stationary shop into a revered cultural institution. Rongbaozhai will showcase classic Chinese paintings by modern and contemporary artists, along with demonstrations of notable techniques from intangible cultural heritage, such as woodblock printing.

Creativity products will also be on show. Meanwhile, a digital platform of the fair will also be launched to connect artists and collectors.
