China, India agree to ensure peace, tranquility in border areas

KAZAN, Russia -- China and India agreed on Wednesday to ensure peace and tranquility in the border areas, and find a fair and reasonable settlement.
The agreement was made during a meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the sidelines of the 16th BRICS Summit. The two sides also agreed to make good use of the Special Representatives mechanism on the China-India boundary question.
