Soldiers reaffirm commitment to building a strong military after watching military parade

Soldiers expressed their excitement and reaffirmed their commitment to building a strong military after watching the V-Day military parade on Wednesday.
Han Jianing, a pilot from the People's Liberation Army Ground Force's 77th Army brigade, shared her enthusiasm. "Under the strong leadership of the Communist Party of China, generations of revolutionary predecessors sacrificed their lives and shed their blood, forging the glorious chapter of today's China," she said.
Han is the first female pilot of the PLA Ground Force to fly over the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau.
After viewing the parade, Han reiterated her dedication to inheriting the "Red gene" passed down from the Chinese People's War Against Japanese Aggression (1931-45). She emphasized her commitment to following the Party and contributing to "leading the army from victory to new victories".
Ten years ago, Xu Zhengmin piloted a fighter jet over Tian'anmen Square during the parade marking the 70th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. Before watching the parade on Wednesday, Xu led his team in completing an emergency response drill.
"We must carry forward the great spirit of the War of Resistance, keep in mind the instructions of our predecessors, and inherit and promote the heroic spirit," he said. "We will continue to strive, advance with determination, and work together in unity."
Zhao Qinqiu, who also participated in the 70th anniversary parade, expressed his ambition to be the "dancer on the tip of the spear" on the front lines of training and preparation. "We will work relentlessly to defend the blue skies of our motherland," he said.
