Pacific island delegation explores grassroots governance in Qingdao

A group of 20 representatives from Pacific island countries, including Tonga, Fiji, Micronesia, and Nauru, recently visited Jimo district in Qingdao, Shandong province, as part of a training program on national governance and development planning.
During their stay, the participants went on field visits to local communities to explore the district's innovative practices in grassroots governance and its strategies for improving public services. Along the way, they also immersed themselves in traditional Chinese culture.
This visit offered deeper insights into China's approaches to development and governance, and opened up new opportunities for cooperation in governance capacity building and people-to-people exchanges, said the participants.
