YEKATERINBURG, Russia -- Chinese President Hu Jintao met Kyrgyz President Kurmanbek Bakiyev on Monday in the Russian city of Yekaterinburg to discuss ways to expand bilateral cooperation in various areas.

The two leaders are meeting on the sidelines of the annual summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, which will discuss how to tackle the international financial crisis and expand cooperation in political, economic, security and other areas among member states.
