The 2025 "Silk Road for All Children" International Children's Literature Week and the 10th Fairy Tale Conference were held in Wuyi in China's Zhejiang province from Dec 5 to 7.

Shereen Kreidieh, chair of the jury for the 2026 Hans Christian Andersen Awards, shared her thoughts on Chinese children's literature's growing presence on the global stage. Ibeakamma Chinazaekpere Ugochinyere, a Nigerian PhD candidate in Comparative Education at Zhejiang Normal University, spoke about her commitment to increasing Sino-Africa exchanges and adapting China's educational experience to help improve the system back home.

Turdieva Kavsar is an Uzbek writer and laureate of the Shukhrat Medal, the Uzbekistan state award for notable contributions. At the event, Kavsar said the positive impact of children's literature could foster a more peaceful world. Greek writer and poet Tassos Lampropoulos, who has lived in Shanghai since the early 2000s, reflected on China's rapid development, particularly in expanding public access to books and reading materials.

Lampropoulos said he is continually amazed by how young Chinese people make use of modern facilities to learn and grow.
